Evelyne Bouchard
Principal & Architect, member OAQ, Certified Passivhaus Designer
Evelyne is a versatile architect who has worked on projects ranging from new single-family homes, to renovations that give new life to old buildings, to municipal infrastructure. After working in architectural offices in London, Montreal and Vancouver, she returned to her roots by establishing her own office in Hemmingford, QC, down the road from the farm where her grandmother grew up. She founded Tandem to create ecological and energy-efficient projects, and to promote architectural quality in rural areas.
During her time in Vancouver, Evelyne gained expertise in Passivhaus design. She is the current Chair of the Board of Directors of Passive House Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing this ambitious standard for sustainable, comfortable and highly efficient buildings. Evelyne provides technical training on the Passivhaus standard across Canada and is a course lecturer at McGill University's School of Architecture.
